Day 9 - 6 Days Later...
So I've been on this diet, about 9 days in now. There have been highs and lows. My days back at work did not go well. I ate for work, but after my third day of working my 8hr shift, completely on my feet, it did not go well for me. Not only did my ankle swell back up, the pain has been shooting down my foot and up my leg. I got a doctor's note and I've been doing half shifts instead. I am allowed to go sit down when I need (which I haven't yet, not because I don't need but because I have no other coverage). I have been doing well as far as calorie intake and exercising it off (though basic walking around work and shopping) but it seems I have temporarily gained 3 pounds. I am hoping this is because of the increase in my water. I have consistently drank at least 20oz of water alone each day. I still enjoy my pasta, rice, and sweets but in moderation. I avoid eating deserts at nights and have something solid in the mornings around 9 or 10 for my breakfast so I don't have the urge to eat during my shift.
Exercise is light since I feel I back-peddled a little with all the walking around at work. I move up and down so much but that hasn't stopped my from using my other muscles. I reach and stretch each morning, trying to prepare my body for the challenge.
