A New Year, A New You

January 1, 2019
I just (re)started my dieting and exercise routine. I'm coming off a broken ankle back in early November so I'm not doing anything intense for exercise but I am taking a full reassessment of my eating habits. I started my day with my Kirkland Signature smoked salmon (low in carbs, high in protein) and a black coffee. Caffeinated with no sugar. For lunch I had about 2 trisect crackers and 2 pieces of garlic summar sausage, approx. 1/8" thick. Dinner was heavy: a lobster tail, a ribeye steak from Costco and a serving and a half of Smart Taste thin spaghetti with Carmela's marinara sauce and Kirkland signature cooked shrimp with tail off. It was all delicious! For my evening drink I skipped the wine. Instead I made a cocktail from the ICE brand orange mango carbonated drink (zero sugar, zero calories) and Malibu rum. It was probably a 2:1 ratio.

My exercise is minimal for now. I walk and fix and do things but spend whatever time I can off my ankle in preparation for going back to work. It's not 100% better, it's probably like 75% better, so I'm still trying to heal as much as I can. Still, I think some extra sit up will be in order.
